Chief of Staff

Nova Pioneer is looking for a Chief of Staff to support the CEO and Global Leadership Team in driving strategic efforts to achieve the organization’s mission across the continent.

The two key areas of responsibilities for the Chief of Staff are:

Strategic Initiative Ownership -- spearheading strategic efforts that support the organization’s top priorities

  • Lead complex, cross-functional projects to support the growth and sustainability of Nova Pioneer across geographies, and independently drive these efforts from strategy through execution
  • Drive workstreams related to Nova Pioneer’s capital raising process, such as owning investor communications, developing capital raising materials, and cultivating a pipeline of future investors
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO and other Global Leadership Team members to strategise and problem-solve around key organizational challenges

Organizational Effectiveness -- collaborating with the CEO and Global Leadership Team members to keep the organization running as efficiently and effectively as possible

  • Develop, lead, and constantly seek to improve key organizational programmes and processes that keep Nova Pioneer running smoothly (e.g., strategy and process around annual goal setting and termly KPI metric tracking)
  • Lead Nova Pioneer’s strategy and implementation around internal communications to develop clarity, build culture, and cascade shared ownership throughout the organization
  • Drive efficiency on the Global Leadership Team by designing and leading GLT meetings and offsites, as well as proactively identifying opportunities for increased team effectiveness



  • You have a Graduate degree with high academic distinction
  • You have 3-5 years work experience in management consulting or a similar high expectations role requiring a diverse set of strategic problem solving skills
  • You have the ability to thrive in a fast‐paced, entrepreneurial environment, juggling ownership of numerous complex work streams at once and continuously collaborating with the CEO to re-prioritize based on the organization’s needs
  • You have a strong track record of achieving high-quality results quickly and can operate independently with limited direction and support
  • You have very strong analytical skills, with an ability to identify and examine the root cause of challenges and quickly implement innovative solutions
  • You have a strong capacity to think strategically and yet you sweat the small stuff, people see you as unusually detail-oriented, organized, and conscientious
  • You are an outstanding verbal and written communicator with a knack for conveying information in a manner that is most effective for the audience you are interacting with (whether that be the CEO, teachers, students, or investors)
  • You have strong project management skills with exceptional ability to manage multiple highly detailed and urgent work streams simultaneously;
  • You are humble and have the highest integrity. You embrace our unique organizational culture and are ready to grow by acting on frequent intensive feedback from your colleagues
  • You have a relentless desire to improve yourself, your team, and your organization;
